Seasonally available - Our award winning Jacob fleece is highly sought after among spinners, weavers and felters for its soft texture, springy loft and multi-colored palate. In 2023 several of our fleeces placed in prestigous wool judgings such as the Estes Park Wool Market, the Annual Jacob Breeder's General Meeting and the Black Sheep Gathering in Oregon. Fibers range from white to black with golden browns, lilac and grey tones that vary by animal. Jacob fleece has a micron range of approximately 24-33 microns, with a Bradford count of 44 to 56.  Jacob wool fibers are also unique because there is no undercoat. They are shorn annually. The fleeces weigh from 2 to 5 lbs and have a staple length of 3 to 7 inches.  We are are a registered Shave Em to Save Em (SE2SE) provider.
